What Is YouTube Partner Program (YPP)?

The YouTube Partner Program allows eligible creators to monetize their videos through ad revenue sharing, channel memberships, Super Chat, and YouTube Shopping integration.
YPP eligibility requires 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 watch hours (long-form) or 10 million Shorts views in the past 90 days. YouTube shares 55% of ad revenue with creators (45% for Shorts). Average RPM (revenue per 1,000 views) ranges from $2–$12 depending on niche, audience geography, and ad demand. Finance and technology niches command the highest RPMs.
